Hello STM Parents and Students:
The following information pertains to timetable changes during the drop and add period in September. Please see below.
· The drop and add period for timetable change requests will run from Tuesday, September 5th through to Friday, September 15th, 2023 inclusive.
· Timetable changes on Day 1 ie. Tuesday, September 5th, will be for CONFLICTS ONLY!! Students will be seen on a first-come, first-served walk-in basis for DAY 1 ONLY! The following scenarios will constitute a conflict:
o Student does not have the prerequisite for a course they are registered in for Semester 1.
o Student has NO COURSES on their Semester 1 timetable.
o Student in Grades 9, 10, or 11 has a spare on their schedule in Semester 1. Students in Grade 9, 10, or 11 should have 8 courses on their schedule, 4 in Semester 1 and 4 in Semester 2!
o Student does not have a lunch period on their schedule in Semester 1. Please note: Grade 11 and 12 students can have a period 2 lunch. This IS NOT a conflict.
o Student has a course on their Semester 1 schedule where the credit was earned in Summer School 2023.
· For all remaining timetable change requests, students must book a Guidance appointment online with their Grade Level Counsellor using the "STM GUIDANCE BOOKING" icon on your Mysite or by using the following link bit.ly/stmstudentservices.
· The online booking system will open on Tuesday, September 5th at 3:00pm for appointments on Sept 6th-8th and again on Friday, September 8th at 3:00pm for appointments on Sept 11th-15th!
· Students must attend all classes currently on their schedule until a Guidance Counsellor has made the timetable change.
· No Teacher changes or lunch changes will be made. Please do not waste your time!
· Phone or email requests for timetable changes will not be monitored. Students must have a scheduled appointment in order to be seen by a Guidance Counsellor.
